Finnish Forest Industry to return to work
Forchem welcomes the news that the pulp and paper industry strike is over, and we understand that employees will return to work from their next shift (ie tonight/tomorrow).
As previously announced, Forchem has been forced to temporarily shut down production and postpone some outstanding deliveries. We will now plan the startup of our plant, subject to the receipt of sufficient crude tall oil raw material, which we estimate may take up to one week.
We would like to thank all customers for your continued patience and understanding, as we work hard to reschedule pending and new orders in the coming weeks. We will continue to keep you informed.
