Forchem Oy had all management systems certified at once
“The simultaneous certification of the key management systems is a joint effort of the plant and a great achievement for the entire staff. All our employees both in Finland and abroad participated in building the system,” says President and CEO Martti Fredrikson.
“Certified management systems demonstrate Forchem’s commitment to the continuous improvement of total quality, customer satisfaction and environmental and occupational safety issues to our customers and other stakeholders. The systems lend our operations a systematic and effective edge and help manage risks.
“Forchem now has access to the best tools for the production of top-quality tall oil products,” says Martti Fredrikson.

Forchem Oy specialises in the distillation and processing of tall oil. The company started manufacturing in Rauma in 2002 and it now employs nearly 40 people. Forchem has three subsidiaries in the EU area which are responsible for marketing its products and services. Over 90 per cent of company sales are in Europe. In 2004 Forchem had a turnover of 47 million euros.
Forchem’s main products are tall oil rosins used in various adhesive and printing ink products, tall oil fatty acids used as binders in paints and coatings and tall oil pitch, an excellent low-sulphur bio fuel. Diesel fuel additives are among the newest and most interesting tall oil fatty acid derivatives.
